Week 8: Sit

Here are some players who have unfavorable matchups in Week 8. I would likely sit these players, unless you do not have any better options.

QB Peyton Manning, RB Dominic Rhodes, WR Marvin Harrison, TE Dallas Clark (IND) at Tennessee Titans: The Titans are very good on defense (only given up 1 passing TD all year), and the Colts are not what they used to be on offense. Rhodes played well in place of injured RB Joseph Addai last week against Green Bay, but Tennessee has a much tougher run defense. I think WR Reggie Wayne is a safe start, but I cannot advise starting any of the other Colts.

QB Kurt Warner, WR Anquan Boldin, WR Steve Breaston (ARI) at Carolina Panthers: The Cardinals have a very potent passing attack, but I would temper your expectations against the Panthers, who give up the second least passing yards in the NFL. Also, they have only given up 5 passing TDs all year. WR Larry Fitzgerald is probably a safe start, but I would steer clear of the rest.

RB Michael Turner (ATL) at Philadelphia Eagles: Turner struggles against good defenses, and Philly has a very strong run defense. Do not expect much out of him.

RB Justin Fargas, RB Darren McFadden (OAK) at Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have the best run defense in the NFL (67.2 yards per game), so do not expect much from either of the Oakland RBs this week.

Also, remember that the following teams are on bye this week: Chicago, Denver, Green Bay, and Minnesota.
