Week 7: Waiver Wire

Here are some players you should consider adding to your roster for the week 7 games. None of them get me too excited, but if you are looking for depth or bye-week fill-ins, you should be able to find something here to help you out:

QB Brad Johnson (DAL): Romo broke the pinky finger on his right hand and will miss the next three games. Brad Johnson is a solid QB who will not make too many mistakes. With all the weapons he will have, he should be a solid fantasy QB.

QB Jeff Garcia (TB): Garcia is a steady QB who will not make many mistakes. It is hard to get too excited about his outing last week (173 yards, 1 TD), but Garcia will rarely hurt you as a QB. If you are having bye-week issues or need some depth, he is a good option (especially this week against a weak Seattle secondary).

RB Justin Fargas (OAK): Fargas is back as the starting RB in Oakland. He only had 10 carries last week, but that was more than Bush or McFadden had. Oakland will run the ball, but Fargas will share carries with the other two RBs. However, out of the three of them, I think Fargas has the most value, simply because he will see the most carries.

RB Dominic Rhodes (IND): Joseph Addai injured his hamstring and Rhodes stepped in for him and played well. Next week, the Colts play the Packers, who are not very good at stopping the run. Although the Colts are not as powerful on offense as they used to be, they are still very good. Which makes Rhodes a solid play as long as he is filling in for Addai.

WR Steve Smith (NYG): Smith has been playing well lately, and had a big game on Monday night against the Browns (9 catches, 94 yards). Eli looks to Smith often on third downs out of the slot, and he should continue to produce solid numbers.

WR Devin Hester (CHI): Hester had another solid week (6 catches, 87 yards) and does appear to be a legitimate fatnasy WR. The Bears are playing surprisingly well on offense, which means Hester should continue to have opportunities to make plays. Although he has not been as electric as a return man this year, he is even more valuable if you are in a league that awards points for return TDs.

TE Jeremy Shockey (NO): Shockey has missed a few games with a sports hernia, but should return to action either this week or next week. If you have space on your roster, consider adding him now. Brees is playing very well, which should help Shockey post solid fantasy numbers.
